Martini Glass Ornament DIY

Hello friends. I hope you’ve been well. It’s mid December already and a few weeks ago, I had my girl friends over for a little paint party.
This is the second year I’ve held it and I’ll share more later but today I wanted to show you how I made these adorable Martini Glass Ornaments.

It really was so easy but they look real and my friends loved them! I first saw similar from West Elm and thought I could replicate it them.

I used this resin set from Michaels and I just followed the instructions on the package.
You can buy tint for resin but I used food dye to tint the resin and it worked perfectly.
THIS set is a good starting point as it comes with the tint and other useful materials for resin. HERE is another great set.

For the coffee beans and olives I just used polymer clay and baked them in the oven according to the package. They look so real don’t they?

The foam on the espresso martini is a mixture of resin and flour. I looked that up on google and it worked out great!
I allowed the brown resin to set for a couple of hours prior to pouring the ‘foam’. I then allowed the ‘foam’ to set for a bit before I placed the
little beans. I did this so each layer would sit on top. Otherwise, they would sink to the bottom.

I made the hole by heating up a small nail with pliers over my stove stop and carefully piercing the hole. Please be careful. I then took a little ring and
thread it through.

My thought was to give each of my friends one of these ornaments and a mini bottle of either Khalua or Vodka but I ended up giving each a small
bottle of champagne.
I Can’t wait to share with you rest of the party. Thank you so much for stopping by today.
Please don’t forget to visit my friend’s beautiful Christmas gifts below.

Much love,

Lucy
