Foundation Row Cluster = [Yarn over and insert hook from front to back to front around the post of the dc 3 sts back, and pull up a loop (3 loops are on the hook), yarn over the hook and draw it through 2 loops] 3 times (4 loops are on the hook), yarn over the hook, insert the hook in the next ch and draw up a loop (6 loops are on the hook), yarn over the hook, and draw it through 2 loops, yarn over and draw it through all 5 loops on the hook.

Main Cluster = [Yarn over and insert hook from front to back to front around the post of the dc 3 sts back, and pull up a loop (3 loops are on the hook), yarn over the hook and draw it through 2 loops] 3 times (4 loops are on the hook), [yarn over the hook] twice, insert the hook from front to back to front around the post of the next FPst and draw up a loop (7 loops are on the hook), [yarn over the hook, and draw it through 2 loops] twice, yarn over and draw it through all 5 loops on the hook.

End of Row Cluster = [Yarn over and insert hook from front to back to front around the post of the dc 3 sts back, and pull up a loop (3 loops are on the hook), yarn over the hook and draw it through 2 loops] 3 times (4 loops are on the hook), yarn over the hook, insert the hook in the top of the turning-ch-3 and draw up a loop (6 loops are on the hook), yarn over the hook, and draw it through 2 loops, yarn over and draw it through all 4 loops on the hook. Always skip the st behind each BPtr. Chain a multiple of 4 + 3.

Foundation Row (RS): Dc in the fourth ch from the hook and in each of the next 2 ch, make a Foundation Row Cluster, *dc in each of the next 3 ch, make a Foundation Row Cluster; repeat from the * across, turn.

Row 1 (WS): Ch 3 (counts as dc here and throughout), *skip the Cluster, dc in each of the next 3 dc, BPtr in the next st; repeat from the * across, ending with skip the Cluster, dc in each of the next 3 dc, dc in the top of the turning-ch-3, turn.

Row 2: Ch 3, skip the first dc, *dc in each of the next 3 dc, make a Main Cluster; repeat from the * across, ending with dc in each of the next 3 dc, make an End of Row Cluster, turn.

Repeat Rows 1 and 2 for the pattern.
