Instead of telling you about a product I love, today I’m telling you about a product I DON’T love!
And maybe you have already come to this conclusion on your own, but I don’t love Cricut Smart Vinyl.
You know how with the Maker 3 and the Explore Air 3 you can cut really long sections of vinyl by using the Smart Vinyl without the mat?
The concept is great, but every time I have cut long pieces of Smart Vinyl I have the hardest time working with it!
It usually weeds ok but not always – and the biggest problem is in the transferring!
The transfer tape doesn’t grab onto the vinyl very well, and the thick paper backing (which makes it so you can cut it without a mat) makes it really hard to peel the paper away from the vinyl.
I did have a little better luck when I used some Strong Grip transfer tape I had on hand, but it was a smaller vinyl design that I had cut on the mat.
Today’s Tip: Don’t buy Cricut Smart Vinyl
